Free Sundays at the Kemerer Museum are fun for the whole family! Enjoy a range of children’s activities and tour the current exhibition, Art at Home, as well as the permanent collection on display. Free Family Sundays take place at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and run from 1-4pm every Sunday starting April 11, 2021. Activities offered at Free Sundays include:

1-4PM: Guided Museum Tour & Scavenger Hunt

Leaves on the hour from the Museum Shop

Our tour guide will lead you through the various restored rooms and galleries of the museum, giving you stories of the past surrounding each artifact.

Learn about the museum founder, Annie Kemerer, and her personal collection that started it all.

Kid-friendly artifact scavenger hunts are available for use during tours!

Once Upon a Treehouse Interactive Playroom

Children will love this kids-only special interactive room where they can be hands-on, play dress up, use their imagination, and interact with beautiful handmade dollhouses themed after Kemerer’s very own historic dollhouse collection!

Young Artists' Workshop

Free Sundays at the Museum returns with the reopening of the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and opening of Art at Home. Throughout the year we’ll be exploring different art techniques and mediums and expanding our art “palette”!

In April we dive into three different painting mediums, how they’re different, and make our own works of art.

April 11, 2021 – Acrylic

April 18, 2021 – Watercolor

April 25, 2021 – Oil

Free Sundays at the Museum programs are funded with support from the Jones Children Fund.
